Obituary of John Kimpinski

JOHN KIMPINSKI October 18, 1934-February 8, 2018 It is with sadness that the family announces that the death of John Kimpinski occurred on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his residence in Saskatoon, SK. John grew up in Winnipeg , MB where he met his beloved “Gracie.” As a young man, he worked for CN Rail making many lifelong friends. Upon leaving CN, John joined the Canadian Transport Commission which took the family to Ottawa and finally, Saskatoon in 1980. John’s family was his pride and joy. There was no better Dad and Grandpa! Post-retirement, he became a devoted golfer, spending innumerable hours at The Saskatoon Golf & Country Club where he served on the board and even filled in as GM when the need arose. Remembering John with much love and gratitude are: his wife of 60 years, Grace; children: Cheryl (Ron); Kevin (Nicolle); Trevor(Yvonne) and Terry(Stephanie); 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. John is also survived by his brother Joe(Jean) of P.E.I. as well as numerous nieces and nephews whose company he always enjoyed.
