Obituary of Bill Chmil

Bill Chmil May 2, 1947-Dec 8, 2016 Bill slipped away peacefully on Dec 8, 2016 at the age of 69 and is remembered by his daughter Doreen Heinbigner and her 2 children Brooke and Keira from Moose Jaw, SK; son, Trevor (Lindsay) Chmil and their children Tyler, Ava, and Ellyssa from Marcelin, SK and his special Auntie Annette from Saskatoon. Bill is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Paul Chmil, and his brother Donny Chmil. He was born in Paswegan, SK and he later settled in Saskatoon. In 1970 he started work at the Allan Potash Mine where he worked his way up to become the Plant Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement in 2005. Bill loved to spend his Summers fishing and gardening, canning and hunting in the Fall, and playing pool and curling in the Winter. After his retirement he filled his days tinkering in the backyard and home improvements for others. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Saskatoon City Hospital Transitional Ward for their concern and kindness which made our Father’s passing so much easier.
