She was born on January 15, 1935 in Perigord, SK (the 4th youngest of 13 children) to Edith Dubé and Henri Patenaude.

In the fall of 1942, after her mother died, she was sent to boarding school in Prud’homme where she continued her schooling through to Grade 12.  In 1958 she attended Teacher’s College in Saskatoon.  She taught in several Saskatchewan schools while she was a member of the Sisters of Providence.  In 1967 she left the Order and moved to Ottawa and taught there for 10 years and one year in Hull, Quebec.  In 1978 she came back to Saskatchewan and taught for one year in Kelvington and another year in Muenster.   In 1980 she married Russell Bjorgaard and they enjoyed 21 good years together.  During this time she helped Russell on the farm and taught in Rose Valley.  In 1991 they sold the farm in Perigord and retired in Kelvington.  She moved from Kelvington to Saskatoon in 2002.

She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Bjorgaard (d.2001) and her partner, Bob Hamilton (d.2019) and all her siblings except for her sister, Bernadette Pagé (Calgary).  Along with her sister, she leaves to mourn her passing, a good friend, Henriette LeStrat, Bob’s children and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Langham Care Home for the care they gave Angela.
