The family of Betty-Lou Lamon of Saskatoon announces her passing on July 24, 2015 at Sunnyside Nursing Home at the age of 84 years. Betty-Lou was previously deceased by her parents, and is lovingly remembered by her only son Robert (Lois), her grandson John (Candice) her great grandchildren Caymbri and Rylan, and numerous cousins. Betty-Lou was born in North Battleford on March 19, 1931 to Robert and Matilda Chadwick. Betty-Lou was a woman before her time, strong and independent, inheriting those traits from her own Mother who was widowed when Betty-Lou was only 10 years old. Betty-Lou spent most of her working career with the Federal Government first in North Battleford and then transferring to Saskatoon in 1967. She worked hard and was able to retire when she was only fifty so she was fortunate to have so many years of enjoyment and happiness out at the cottage on Jackfish Lake. Unfortunately Betty-Lou developed dementia and the last few years were very difficult. We are truly grateful to the staff at Sunnyside Nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care that she received. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sunnyside Nursing Home.
