Brenda Swanson
1960-2020
Your Hug Meant the World
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one's eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above.
-Tamsen Butler
The world lost a beloved mother, Brenda Swanson, on December 14, 2020. Brenda had some significant health issues over the past few years, but it never stopped her from lending a helping hand to someone in need whether it be a friend, a family member or a stranger. She had an incredibly giving and gentle spirit and loved spending time with those who cared for her most. Brenda
died in
the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital surrounded by her two sons, Josh and Adam, and by her daughter-in-law, Koral. Brenda was born in Big River, SK on October 27, 1960.
Brenda spent much of her time volunteering for charity and donation centres who offered help to Lloydminster’s most vulnerable
. Her
friends and colleagues knew her as an extremely giving and patient soul, always willing to be of service to those who needed it most. Brenda is survived by her sister Debbie, her brother Darren and her ex-husband Bob. She was preceded in death by her brothers Brady and David and both her parents.
The family will hold a private ceremony
per
Brenda's wishes. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to give to a charity or donation centre of their choosing.
Arrangements entrusted to Prairie View Chapel and Crematorium 306-242-7884.
