It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cheryl after a brave battle with cancer.

Cheryl Rakochy, beloved wife of Joe Rakochy of Saskatoon, passed away at the age of 76 on February 12, 2021. Cheryl leaves to mourn her loving husband Joe, son Darin (Cindy) Churchill of Wakaw and their children Spencer and Gabriel Churchill and Devon Stein, her daughter Leigh Anne (Ward) Williams of Hanley and their children Mathieu and Brielle Ouellet and Brynn and Presly Williams, stepsons Jason (Vanessa) Rakochy and their children Julian and Jack of Calgary AB, James (Connie) Rakochy and their children Triton and Jadlyn of Burns Lake BC and Jeff (Patience) Rakochy of Prince George BC.

She will be sadly missed by brother Tom (Debbie) Tiller of Nanaimo BC and sisters-in-law Cheryl Tiller of Yorkton and Laurie Rakochy of Canora, brother-in-law Cliff Rakochy (Delores) of Regina, nephew Jason (Nicole) Tiller and their children Aiden and Madelaine of Regina.

Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, May (2005) and Fred (2012) and brother Mac Tiller (2019).

Cheryl was born in Regina and grew up in Yorkton. She was a voracious reader since childhood. Always had 2 or 3 books on the go all the time. In 1984, Cheryl and Joe moved to Saskatoon. Cheryl worked at Bank of Montreal for over 30 years. Since retiring in 2010 she found a passion for jigsaw puzzles and always had a 2000 or 3000 piece puzzle on the dining room table that she would work on religiously.

Cheryl and Joe enjoyed travelling in Canada and USA. Numerous trips were with Cliff and Delores, which always included many games of Kaiser.

To honor Cheryl, a Celebration of Life will be held with family at a later date. Cremains will be placed at the Columbarium at St. John’s Cathedral in Saskatoon.
