On March 15th, 2023, Dennis Murray Drozda joined the Lord in the heavenly sky. Dennis passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Dennis wasn’t just an amazing spouse, father, grandfather, and friend, but was one of the most humble, genuine, and sincere human beings. Dennis lit up every room he stepped into and was known for his hospitality and entertaining others. His famous Caesar cocktails, steaks and company will truly be missed. Dennis loved being surrounded by those he cared for. Everyone who knew Dennis knew that he had a love for fires, camping, fishing, travelling and good food. Dennis also loved watching his daughter play ringette, his grandsons’ hockey games and his granddaughter dance. Near or far, you could count on Dennis to show up wearing his green Roughriders jacket and sunglasses just above his eyes. Dennis always saw the good in situations and made lemonade out of lemons, ensuring that he seized every moment he was given.
Dennis grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan, a city he still enjoyed visiting up until his passing. Dennis spent his life working at Praxair, followed by driving Co-op Taxi. He retired to spend more time with the love of his life, Kathy, and they settled in Saskatoon. Because they found each other later in life, Dennis and Kathy made the most of their time together. They enjoyed travelling down south, to British Columbia and sightseeing all over Saskatchewan. Dennis loved sharing with Kathy all the landmarks, unique places, and special gems that he knew of. Dennis and Kathy were inseparable and did absolutely everything together. They were most definitely meant to be together.
Dennis was predeceased by his mother, Elsie Drozda, his stepfather, Walter Drozda, and his stepsister, Georgina Mitchell. Dennis is survived by the love of his life, Kathy Konkin, his children, Kendal Kingston (Kris), Robin Drozda (Nicole), Carmen Munro (Guy), Lance Drozda, Randeen Konkin (Darcy), Irina Coates (Jeremy), Sydney Goldsmith (Ken) Gaelon Konkin (Candice), Karlene Konkin, as well as his adoring grandchildren; Lena, Jace, Gavin, Addisyn, Justin, Travis, Conner, Hayden, Alexa, Dane, Xander, Alexandra, Carter, Brighton, Grady, Sophie, Heston, Jayce, Liam and Adison, and his two feline sons Teager and Tux.
As per Dennis’ wishes a funeral will not be held but instead a celebration of life in Regina SK at a later date. Anyone wishing to attend, please contact one of the family members so we can contact you when the date and location has been decided.
“If there is ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart.
I’ll stay there forever.”

“Here’s to the night I met you. If I hadn’t met you, I wouldn’t have let you. Now that I let you, I’m glad that I met you. And I’ll let you again, I bet you!”
