In loving memory of Duane Fagerheim who was born on October 31, 1937. Duane passed away peacefully with his family at his side on February 23rd, 2018 at the age of 80. Duane suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and is now at peace. He leaves behind his wife Randie Fagerheim (nee Randall) of 56 years; daughter Laurie Donnelly (Tom) of Hastings, Minnesota; grandson Dustyn Dumba (Sadie) of Calgary, AB.; granddaughter Kelsey Dumba (Kyle Veseleny) of Houston, Texas; daughter Kim Bubnick (Murray); granddaughter Taylor Bubnick and granddaughter Lauryn Bubnick all of Saskatoon, SK; brother-in-law Ken Lee of Regina, SK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cherished friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Hans and Emma Fagerheim and sister Marlene Lee. Duane was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Midale, SK. Duane married the love of his life Randie June 30th, 1962. His greatest and proudest accomplishment was his two daughters and amazing grandchildren. To him “Family” was very important. Duane will always be remembered for his compassion, kindness, commitment, reliability, generosity, and honesty. Over the years he worked as a Sales Representative for Schneiders Meats, Olympic Fine Foods, and finally a Food Brokerage Company in Saskatoon until his retirement. Duane had a passion for sports. You would often see him sitting outside on his front door step watching one or two TVs of his desired sport especially during playoffs. Duane was well known over the years for his playing, coaching and scouting hockey. He spent many hours and evenings enjoying “rink” burgers and coffee scouting for the Saskatoon Blades and previously for the Regina Pats. Duane was an avid golfer and volunteer at the Wildwood Golf Course for many years. He was involved with the Executive Membership and actively with the Junior Golf Program. You could always count on him for helping out with tournaments. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. He was always up for a game of cards and loved listening to his “records”. Often we would catch him downstairs listening to some “old time rock & roll” music. He was known for his beautiful blue eyes and smile. We would like to extend a special thank you to: Dr. Mark Boechler, staff at Sherbrooke Community Centre “First Neighborhood-Reminiscent Way” and Quality Care Home for their involvement in Duane’s care over the years. In closing, “Dearest Duane/Dad/Grandpa and Little Uncle, Your life is a blessing, your memory a treasure; you are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. We have been so blessed to have you in our lives and we will miss you dearly. You will be forever close to our hearts, in our thoughts and in our dreams. You will continue to guide us along the way. We will continue to love you unconditionally forever and always.” A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
