Fern Yausie (Richards), 73, died September 10, 2022, with her family by her side in Saskatoon, SK.
She was born October 6th, 1948, in Dinsmore, SK the second daughter of Florence and Wilfred Richards. They moved to Saskatoon in 1952.
Fern retired in 2015 after a 42-year career working for the Royal Bank of Canada and the City of Saskatoon Transportation and Utilities - Light & Power.
Her hobbies and interests included gardening, cooking, baking, reading, and watching her sons and grandchildren throughout all their years of sports and activities. Her love and support for her family in the sport of football for over 50 years was unmatched and admired by many in the community. She was a compassionate and strong woman who carried herself with dignity, style and grace. She was a devoted and energetic caregiver to her parents, sons and grandchildren. Fern always welcomed a challenge, did her best without complaint and was always there for her loved ones.
She is survived by her 4 sons, Jeff Yausie, James Yausie (CoraWeenk); Paul Yausie (Karrie), Matt Yausie and 8 grandchildren: Wil, Jay, Beau, Jack, Chad, Joe, Tess, and Jon Yausie.
Fern was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Dena Yausie, her sister Gail Haugen as well as her parents Florence and Bill.
A Celebration of life is planned for Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Saskatoon Hilltop Clubhouse 2:00-4:00 pm.
She will be dearly missed and very loved, always and forever.
