Herbert William Hunter was born on December 25th, 1953, and passed away on November 20th, 2017 at Palliative Care at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. Herb was a kind, loving man who spent most of his life in Saskatchewan. Herb was predeceased by his parents, Phyllis and William Hunter, and his step-mother Constance. Herb is survived and remembered by his wife Audrey Mager, daughters Sarah and Jennie (Mike) of Saskatoon, grandchildren, Kiyra, Cassidy, Hector, Freya, his sister Helen (Lyle), nieces and nephews: Everett, Harley, Travis, April, and Bobbi and their families; step-siblings Dennis (Jennifer), Trevor, and families. Herb was born in Yorkton, but grew up in Glenside, Saskatchewan. Herb was always active, and spent plenty of time participating in sports such as broom-ball and hockey. Herb and Audrey permanently settled in Saskatoon in 1980, where Herb worked as a chef at various restaurants. He took up lawn bowling in his late thirties and was 4 time provincial champion lawn bowler. Herb competed in the Canadian Lawn Bowling National Championships multiple times, an experience he enjoyed sharing with his teammates each and every time. Above all Herb enjoyed spending time with family, especially camping at Waskesiu and taking long drives in the country with his wife.
