Isabelle McDonald was born June 27, 1930 in Saskatoon, and passed December 24, 2020. Married in 1949 to Orvil, who predeceased her in 2017. She is survived by her children: Sherridan, Kim and Kent and their spouses, five grandchildren and eight great granchildren. She was a loving mother, excellent homemaker, and faithful friend to many.
In her younger years she was a professional seamstress, well known for her wonderful sewing ability and remembered by the many to whom she taught her skills at the YWCA. In later years, quilting became her passion. She owned and operated her own quilt shop, spending many a happy hour there helping her customers, giving advice and drinking cup after cup of tea. Her wonderful fabric creations will be enjoyed for years to come by all those who received the many gifts of her work.
Isabelle loved her garden, doing the Star Phoenix crossword puzzles (in pen!), lunches at the Berry Barn, and visiting with her friends. She was gentle, with a sweet disposition and compassionate nature. She will be missed and remembered with love.
