Jerry Temple

December 23, 1952 — September 30, 2024

Jerry went home to be with Jesus, peacefully in his truck in a church parking lot. Jerry was a Godly man, with a servant's heart and passion to give everything he could.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Joyce; daughter, Shea; father, Donald Temple (of Weyburn); and brothers, Greg, Troy, Blair and Darwin along with their spouses and children. Jerry was pre-deceased by his mother, Dene Temple; and sister, Leanne.

Jerry's first love was his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Jerry devoted his life to serving the Lord, with a servant's heart and a passion to give all he could. He was a Godly husband, providing for his wife; always ensuring that everything was provided. Their love was true and strong through their love for God. Jerry and Joyce did everything together and loved to witness to others. Living a quiet and simple life in Saskatoon.

Jerry and Joyce attend Christ the Healer Gospel Church in Riversdale area. Jerry was the smiling face everyone waited to greet on Sunday morning; he made an effort to speak life into everyone he knew, and poured life into the people he did not know. He served in every capacity at the church, always the first to offer anything he could. Jerry was the true definition of God's intent for the church.

He poured out his life to the Great Commission, making disciples of all the nations. Ensuring that everyone he encountered saw a reflection of Jesus through him, and unbelievers had an opportunity to accept Jesus into their lives.

Jerry worked for Kindersley Transport for over 30 years as a dock worker. Jerry loved working and would still be whistling songs of joy when he got home. He worked long hours, tirelessly offering to go over and above. Jerry prayed and witnessed to all his coworkers. His love of Jesus never wavered no matter where he was.

Coffee with Llyod and Gord was his other great joy, three Godly men gathered at Tim Hortons. He would invite everyone he could to share coffee and the gospel; wanting everyone to feel appreciated, heard and loved was important to Jerry.

Jerry loved to take long walks alone and pray, as an intercessor he would walk and lift everyone up in prayer. Leaving no prayer unsaid. He also enjoyed sitting in his easy chair listening to instrumental worship music and gazing at the beautiful Saskatchewan sky.

Jerry we love you, we honour you and can't wait to meet you soon. We thank God for the legacy you have imprinted in our hearts.
