Linda Louella Westcott

Linda Westcott (Strand) 1946 - 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Linda Westcott on December 29, 2017. Linda Louella Strand was born on February 14, 1946 in Lamont, AB, the oldest child of Boyd and Jessie Strand. She attended the University of Alberta and met Neil Westcott at the bus stop. After graduating with an Arts degree, Linda married Neil on August 27, 1966. They lived in Vancouver, BC, Cambridge, MA, and Cambridge, England before moving to Saskatoon in 1973. Linda was a dedicated mother to their three daughters, supporting them in sports, music, academics, and life. She was an active volunteer with the United Church of Canada at both the local and Presbytery level. She was an avid reader. Neil and Linda travelled within Canada and the US, as well as to Russia, Greece, Italy, Scotland, and Australia. Linda is survived by her husband, Neil; her daughters and their families - Sarah (Martin Leuschen, Thea and Adri); Catharine (Robert Topping, Luke, Noah, and Ella); and Barb (Nicole Mewis, Holden); her brothers Jerry (Rosemary) and John (Barb); and her brothers-in-law Terry (Anne) and Brian (Marietta).
