It is with sadness that we announce the death of Linden Cook on August 28, 2020. Linden Cook was born on May 12, 1948, in Calgary, Alberta. She is remembered by: partner Doug Maurer; children Jeremy (Suzi) and Kristan; grandchildren Kara, Sullivan, and Hayden; and sisters Michele, Shelley, Melanie, and Rosanne.
Lyn led an amazing and colorful life from demonstrating on the streets of San Francisco, to building a log cabin in northern Saskatchewan, to biking the hills of Alsace, to gaining a double degree in Anthropology and Archeology, to completing a Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology in Oregon, and finally settling in Saskatoon to raise her family. After retirement, Lyn travelled the world and no matter where she was, she always knew when it was 4:00 pm and time for a cold beer and lively conversation. Lyn was known for her bright spirit, her intelligence, her generous nature, her devotion to her family and friends, her dedication to her profession, her wonderful laugh, and keen wit. She taught us about kindness, the importance of humor, how to identify plants and trees, the appropriateness of weeping during live classical music, how to be the best kind of sister and friend, and why we should appreciate the life we are given.
Please join us in June 2021 at Waskesiu in Prince Albert National Park for memories, music, nature, and a remembrance of the life of our wonderful Lyn.
