He passed peacefully at his home in Saskatoon. Survived by son Brent (Bobbie) grandkids Justin, Olivia, daughter Christine (Greg) grandkids Tyson and Jade, his Sister Valerie McHarg, and nephews Jason and Ian, Aunt Nettie and many of his cousin. He was predeceased by his parents Ann and Reg Colter, and brother-In-law Ken McHarg. He was born in Saskatoon, spent a short time in Lac Vert as a child and back to Saskatoon where he began a fulfilling career at the Saskatoon Police Service where he dedicated 34 years to the service and retired as a Superintendent in 2001. He loved to fish, golf, hunt, enjoyed working with his hands and spent his retirement between Vernon BC and Saskatoon SK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul’s Foundation, under Murray Colter. Join us for a come and go celebration of the life of Murray Colter at JJ Loewen Community Centre, Dalmeny, SK.
