In Loving Memory

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Murray Edward Harris at the age of 72, on February 17, 2025, following a courageous fight with cancer. Murray passed away peacefully at Glengarda Hospice, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

Murray will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Suzanne; his daughters Nicole (Collin), Melissa (Corey), and Vanessa (Jace); as well as his grandchildren Ella, Cooper, Gunnar, Owen, Luke, Norah, and Noah. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

Murray was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Raised in Laura, SK, he was the youngest of six children. He lived a full life, often finding himself in the midst of mischief and creating memorable stories. Murray loved to share the lessons he had learned along the way, while always knowing that some stories were best kept amongst friends. Murray had a passion for hunting, sports, and competitive card games, but above all, he cherished his family. He was a constant presence at his grandchildren's school performances, sports games, and tournaments, always there to cheer them on with unwavering pride and love.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 21st, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Gordie Howe Sports Centre – Main Hall, 1525 Avenue P S, Saskatoon, SK S7M 1L9. There will be no formal program; we invite you to bring your fondest memories and photos to share with family and friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Community Palliative Care Team and the staff at Glengarda for their exceptional care, support, and compassion during Murray's final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Hospice at Glengarda.
