Myrle Young

It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Myrle on August 22, 2017 following a battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Mark and Rande; his sister Betty and her husband John. Myrle leaves to mourn his daughter Dawn and husband Cal Poier; granddaughter Charmaine and Ben Ewert and their children; granddaughter Shelley and Chris Lee and their children; three nieces and two nephews. Dad was a kind and gentle person. He retired from the Saskatoon Star Phoenix. His joy in life was playing golf. He was a life time member for 66 years at The Saskatoon Golf and Country Club. His winter hours were spent playing cards and having coffee with his golfing buddies. Dad will be sadly missed, for he touched many hearts. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush. I am the sweet uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone I am with you still in each new dawn.
