It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom and Baba, Pauline Sherstobitoff, on January 1, 2016, just after her 86th birthday.
Pauline was born on December 31, 1929 to Mike and Oxenia Kutsenko, near Blaine Lake. She married Mike Sherstobitoff on July 1, 1951, and was predeceased by him in 1978. Pauline is survived by her children Barry; Doug (son Jesse); Peggy (husband Robert, daughters Penny and Sondra, and son Ryan(Tara); Deb (husband Gord, son Russell (daughter Sophia), daughters Vicki (husband Beau and sons Carter and Brandt), and Shawna (husband Marco, daughters Angelina and Aryanna); Michael (daughters Angie(her daughters Mackenzie and Kaylee) and Heather (husband Stu); Bonnie (daughter Melissa (husband Carter, daughter Lilly and son Harley); and Sue (husband Mike, daughter Courtney and son Michael (fiancé Sheena).
Mom was born with beautiful blue eyes and a gentle spirit. Throughout the years, Mom loved gardening, casino trips, playing cards, bowling, travelling, dancing, cooking, and most of all, her grand/great-grandchildren. Her spirit will live on forever in those of us fortunate enough to have known her. May God bless her and keep her in His loving arms where she can finally be at peace and free of pain.
Keep Me in Your Heart (CALDERON, JORGE A. / ZEVON, WARREN)
Shadows are fallin' and I'm runnin' out of breath
Keep me in your heart for a while
If I leave you it doesn't mean I love you any less
Keep me in your heart for a while
When you get up in the mornin' and you see that crazy sun
Keep me in your heart for a while
There's a train leavin' nightly called "When All is Said and Done"
Keep me in your heart for a while
Sometimes when you're doin' simple things around the house
Maybe you'll think of me and smile
You know I'm tied to you like the buttons on your blouse
Keep me in your heart for a while
Hold me in your thoughts
Take me to your dreams
Touch me as I fall into view
When the winter comes
Keep the fires lit
And I will be right next to you
Engine driver's headed north up to Pleasant Stream
Keep me in your heart for a while
These wheels keep turnin' but they're runnin' out of steam
