He is survived by his daughter, Simone Buhr, grandson Devon Buhr & his partner Jeremy Cantada, son Sean Jesse & his partner Line Lucas, grandsons Keagan Sloboda -Jesse & Connor Lucas. His brother Don (Syl) Jesse, sisters Donna (Don) Barss, Eleanor Shulsky, Joan McIntyre, Deanna Swallow, and his loving companion Tania Ramstead as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob was a very active member in the community throughout the years and worked in a wide variety of places. He drove for Radio Cab, the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, sold clothing at Tip Top Tailors, Jack Fraser and ended his work career at Lakeview Free Methodist Church.
He was an avid drummer and took great pride in playing and creating music. Even teaching lessons when he had some free time. He volunteered his time with the SK Abilities Council and immensely enjoyed meeting new people through the various activities they did.
Bob was one of the biggest Saskatchewan Roughriders Fans and could spend endless hours discussing football with friends and family. He was a season tickets holder for many years and rarely missed seeing his beloved Riders play whether in person or on TV. We have fond memories of growing up going to Rider training camp and games with him whenever the opportunity arose.
Dad was the epitome of positivity. Always seen with a smile on his face, laughing and bringing joy to those around him.
Dad was a passionate, caring, humble and avid Christian who spent countless hours at Lakeview Church. Whether he was preparing for events, playing in the band, or doing sound system checks, Bob could be found roaming the halls 7 days a week. He loved the community he found in Lakeview and made many life long friends there.
He travelled the world at a young age, visiting such places as London England, the Eastern seaboard of the US, Mexico, Bahamas and all while playing the drums with various bands, including opening for Roy Orbison in the 60s. Music was one of his greatest joys and he was recognized as a very talented musician.
Dad was loved and cherished by many and will deeply missed. The celebration of his life will be held at a later date in the spring, (date and location to be announced) his favorite time of year. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made under his name to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.
