RUDY EDWIN BAIER
April 17, 1953 – March 27, 2021
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father and Grandpa.
Rudy was an incredible man. He was a hardworking father who showed us the value of hard work. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt of his back for anyone who needed it. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and even better grandpa. He loved his grandkids more than life itself. He attended all their activities and was their biggest cheerleader.
Aside from his family, Dad loved to dance. You could find him on the dance floor anytime there was music. Dad also enjoyed golfing, curling, playing a good game of Kaiser, watching his Toronto Maple Leafs and taking drives in the country with mom which often led to the lake for a wiener roast and listening to the Saturday Night Polka Party. We have made incredible memories over the years as a family, especially on our most recent family vacation to Mexico. We will never forget the laughs, love and the good times we shared.
Dad was loved by many. He was a huge part in the community. He coached ball and hockey for many years. You could find him either at the ball field or the hockey rink. Over the years, Dad made long-lasting friendships through all the sports and community involvement.
Although Dad had his health struggles later in life, he continued to show strength, courage and determination to live his life to the fullest every single day. He was a fighter and an inspiration to us all as Dad rarely complained and battled gracefully to the very end. We are sad and heartbroken but we find comfort in knowing that Dad is at peace and is in the arms of angels. Rest in Peace. You will be forever loved and missed. We love you Dad…. Until we meet again.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife: Bonnie, his children: Crystal (Nelson), Carmen (Krystal) and Carrie (Chris), his grandchildren: Preston and Brooke, Easton and Hendrix and Logan, his siblings: Norbert (Connie), Lucy, Paulette (Mike), Yvonne (Elroy), Brian (Wendy), Wayne, Bernie (Lorne) and Chuck (Brenda), sisters-in-law: Sylvia and Ida and many nieces and nephews.
