The family of Terrance J. Duff sadly announces his passing on May 30th, 2020 @11:30 a.m. in his sleep at St. Paul’s Hospital due to COPD 10 days shy of his 70th birthday.
Terrance was predeceased by his father, James Duff; mother, Emma Duff (nee Macavena); and brother, Ken Duff. He is survived by his daughter, Anison (Meghan) Duff.
Terrance was born June 8th, 1950 and raised in Regina, SK. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a microbiology degree. In earlier years Terrance worked for CP rail and provincial labs. He then spent over 25 years working for Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and retired early (14 years ago) to enjoy life. Terrance married and divorced twice but is still best friends with Elizabeth Blachford.
Terrance loved to read and follow and interact with blogs such as smalldeadanimals and he would submit posts to the CBC that the censors would not approve of to “make them think” as he would say. He really enjoyed keeping up with current politics. Terrance had a large online presence and will be greatly missed by his usual online forums.
Terrance was very close to his daughter, Anison (Meghan) Duff; best friend, Elizabeth Blachford; and occasionally went out with his old lab partner, Steven. He had recently gotten in touch with his aunt Irene. Most of his friends were online like Kate from smalldeadanimals.
Terrance was a very generous man. Any charity that came to his door always left with a generous donation. If it was $3.00 for chocolate almonds the sponsor would leave with at least $20.00. He even tried to give a woman who sang and played him a song on her guitar for him in St. Paul’s Hospital $20.00.
As per Terrance’s request, there will be no service. His cremains will be spread near Reesee. (Anison’s last dog). He really loved Reesee, the dog that was more human than dog.
