Obituary of Donald David Loeffler

Don’s family announces his passing on November 7, 2023 at the age of 74 years young. Don was a resident at Luther Special Care Home for the past year and a half. We offer our gratitude and our appreciation to all the staff who took such good care of Don.

Don is survived by his spouse of 35 years Moira, his son Kyle, and his daughter-in-law Chao. Don was predeceased by his precious daughter Jennifer in 2016.

Don spent his sales career at Saskatoon Co-op and Saskatoon Appliance. Don loved: to tell or hear a joke,  the Saskatchewan Roughriders, a Timmy’s double-double, his pets Safire and Meesha, and the music of Rod Stewart. He always enjoyed the time he spent at the family cottage at Struthers Lake.

Don was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan to Ed (Edmund) and Kay (Kathleen) Loeffler. He was one of four siblings. Don spent most of his life living and working in Saskatoon. Don’s favorite vacations were to: Las Vegas,  Mexico, Jamaica, and Cuba.

His immediate family will hold a private memorial at a later date celebrating both Don and Jennifer’s lives.

“I shall pass through this world but once.

Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being let me do it now.

Let me not defer it or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.” - Robert Pollier

Donations in Don’s memory can be made to the Temperance & Munroe Neighbourhood at Luther Special Care Home.

Moira, Kyle, and Chao thank everyone for the love and friendship Don received and enjoyed over the span of his lifetime.
