Fester, Joyce Lorraine

January 8, 1931 – November 22, 2018

With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother on November 22, 2018 at the age of 87.

Joyce was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, and lived on a farm close to Broadacres. She had two sisters Myrtle Agnew, and Ruth Schell, and one brother Bill Hinds. She was predeceased by her father Fred Hinds, her mother Nelda, her daughter Judy, and her sister Myrtle Agnew. She married Oscar Fester in 1949 and moved to the Fester homestead at Milden. They had a family of five girls, Gloria, Judy, Linda, Beverly, and Diane. She was an avid gardener and wasn’t happy to have to start putting plants on the deck because of her mobility. In later years she started birdwatching. There was usually a book close as she was an avid reader. Her cat Timmy was usually nestled in her chair beside her. A family memorial service will be held in the summer of 2019 at Milden.
