Kerri Dimond

Obituary of Kerri Joy Dimond

After a year-long battle with cancer, Kerri Joy Dimond (nee Parker) passed away on February 26, 2019, with her loving husband at her side. She was 45.
Left to remember her with love are her husband Lance; parents Robert and June Parker; parents-in-law Gary and Eileen Dimond, brother Michael Parker (Kirsten); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pam and Tim Coates; niece Katelyn, nephews Will and Graham as well as her extended family. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Elsie and Gustav Lemke and Margaret and Stuart Parker.
Kerri was born and raised in Winnipeg. She was a keen student who excelled in many areas, but the greatest of those was dance.  Beginning at the age of 4, Kerri was involved in a variety of different types of dance but focused mainly on ballet, going on to inspire others as a teacher.
After pursuing a diploma in administration, she was hired at Assante Asset Management Ltd. where she met the love of her life, Lance. They were married on September 29, 2006.
Kerri and Lance moved to Saskatoon in 2008. Continuing her work in administration, Kerri particularly enjoyed planning corporate social events and made many friends along the way. Kerri was a passionate traveler: she and Lance were lucky enough to visit many amazing places, her favourite being Hawaii. She and Lance would visit there as often as they could, sharing trips with family or just each other.
After being diagnosed with oral cancer in 2018, Kerri faced it with bravery and courage that only Wonder Woman herself could surpass. Through every challenge Kerri was grateful for the support of others; from hospital staff to friends and family. She would particularly want to thank the caring nurses of the ENT and palliative care wards of St. Paul’s Hospital.
Kerri was taken from us much too soon, but she lived the time she had with her whole heart, embracing her days with passion and joy. Her giggle and radiant smile will be missed every day.
Memorial donations in memory of Kerri may be made to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation’s Close to Home Campaign for Hospice and End of life Care at www.closetohome.fund or via mail to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation 1702 20th St West, Saskatoon, SK   S7K 0Z9
