Obituary of Irva Faye Fillo

FILLO, Irva Faye (Irvine)
June 13, 1927-August 31, 2019
Irva was born in Young, Saskatchewan to James and Camilla Irvine. She met her husband Vladimir (Laddie) Fillo when they both worked at Intercontinental Packers in Saskatoon and they were married on February 21,1948. Together they raised 3 children before Laddie's passing in 2008. Irva remained strong willed and clear minded to the end as was illustrated by the way she chose to leave us. She was always interested in current events and would most often be found watching CNN. She will be greatly missed by her children Larry, Sheryl, and Stuart as well as the light of her life, her only grandchild, Sheryl's son Connor Danilkewich. Irva was predeceased by siblings May, Zella, Gladys, Ben, Irvine and Cecelia. She is survived by her sister Esther and brothers Cliff, Roger, Richard and Stuart. Special thanks to all the employees of Luther Intermediate Care Home on Alexandra Avenue for the kindness with which they treated her in her final days. As per her request there will be no funeral or memorial and her remains will be placed alongside Laddie's at the Columbarium.
