Obituary of Lillian Poplack

Lillian passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at St. Paul's Hospital at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her daughters Lesley (Lorne) Wog, Victoria Chyz and Margaret (Arthur) Jensen, grandchildren Rhonda, Brian, Shannon, Kevin (Tracy), Christopher (Joanna) and Michelle (Brad), great-grandchildren Emily, Olivia, Ben, Aiden, Alyssa, Noah and Natalie. She was predeceased by husband Thomas Wyllie, husband Mick Poplack, granddaughter Susanne Jensen and son-in-law Ronald Chyz. Lillian was born in Balham, England on Oct. 31, 1925 and attended school in England. She worked numerous occupations before following her husband Thomas to Saskatoon. Thomas passed in 1953. Lillian married Mick in 1957. He passed away in 1972. She worked at Midtown Plaza for many years until she retired. She loved to travel all over the world and especially looked forward to her trips to the casino. Lillian loved her aquasize time spent with friends for the past 25 years. She also enjoyed knitting, gardening, camping with family, bowling, baseball and enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Saskatchewan Roughriders as she was a dedicated fan. Friends and family were very important to her. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's achievements. Lillian was a founding member of St. David's United Church and a member of Mount Royal Emmanuel United Church. She was also a long standing member in the Order of the Eastern Star. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Funeral

A celebration of Lillian's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the chapel of Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 - 4th Ave North).
