Obituary of Walter James Douglas

It is with sadness, the family announces the passing of Walter. He passed away peacefully in his sleep. Walter is survived by his caring wife, Norma; children, Hugh (Charlene), Jamie (Cathy), and Susan; grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, Joshua (Mylandra), Courtney (Mitch), Jessica (Chris), James (Teslyn); several great-grandchildren; sister, Maureen (Wayne) Gough; brother-in-law, Dave (Cheri) Helstrom; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. 

Wally grew up in Regina and later moved to Saskatoon. His work life included employment at CPR, Saskatchewan Liquor Board, real estate sales and property management. He enjoyed curling, CFL football and playing cards with friends and family. Many a summer weekend was happily spent at Regina Beach relaxing at the cabin, Cobweb Corners. 

The last few weeks of Curly’s life was spent at Porteous Lodge. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers and staff. Their kindness was very much appreciated.
