Obituary of Karen Ann Farrell

The family of Karen Farrell (Turuk) sadly announce her passing on Friday January 3 2020 at the age of 70 years. She passed away peacefully at RUH after a strong fight from complications of diabetes, a disease she fought most of her life. Karen will be greatly missed by her son Shad (Tammy), son Shaun (Chrisa), grandchildren Lily and Max and her sister Sherry and family. Karen was predeceased by her parents Bill and Viret Turuk as well as her long-time partner Ken Hassman. Born July 23 1949 in Biggar SK. she lived there and in Vancouver B.C. as a child she then came to Saskatoon with her family for high school and graduated from Bedford Road Collegiate. Karen worked her career and retired from St. Paul’s Hospital where she worked in the Hemodialysis Unit as a CNA nursing clerk with passion and profession. At Karen’s request no funeral service will be held. A private memorial will be held a later date.
