Obituary of Susan Diane Buczkowski

It is with broken hearts the family of Susan Diane Buczkowski announce her passing on September 4th, 2021, hours before her 73rd birthday.

She was surrounded by the love of her family and passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her Husband of 52 years:  Peter; daughter: Sheila (Craig) Hordal; son:  Paul (Delane). Grandchildren: Bryanne, Kassandra, Madison, Tyson, Carter and Brett. Sister: Judy (Brad) Caplan; Brother in Law: Clint Ives (Sandi); Sister in law: Mary Snell. Nieces: Angie, Carolyn, Alicia, Nephews: Chris and Joel. Others include Karen, Jim and Darlene Scott.

She was predeceased by her Mom: Regina, Father: Clarence; Sister: Lillian; Brother in law: Monty; Mother and Father In-law Tekla and Bill.

Susan was born on Sept 5, 1948 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She went to Pleasant Hill elementary school and Mount Royal High School. She graduated as a Lab Technologist from St Paul’s Hospital. She worked many jobs, but worked for 25 years at University of Saskatchewan:  Western College of Veterinary Medicine as a Clinical Pathologist.  She loved teaching and technology. Always smiling, crocheting, quilting and reading her Science Fiction books. She has left a beautiful array of quilts and blankets to cherish.

As per her wishes, there will be no funeral. However, family will have a celebration of life privately.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Canadian Diabetes Society or another of one’s choice in her name.
