Obituary of Leonard (Len) Kuemper

Len passed away peacefully at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the age of 78, after a brief battle with cancer.

Len was born on July 29, 1944 to Clemens and Antoinnetta Kuemper in Humboldt, SK. and was raised on the Kuemper farm by Muenster, SK.  He was the 9th of 16 children.

Len was in the Financial Planning business for many years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and his friends.   He was a huge Roughrider fan as well as supported any activity his grandchildren were involved in.  He always enjoyed the annual family Candle Lake trip.  He loved playing cards, helping Garth and Scott with any project they had going. He enjoyed winter holidays with family and friends, travelling to the Maritimes, Cuba, Mexico, Vegas, Arizona, Hawaii and Disneyworld!

He will be remembered and is survived by his wife, Shirley; his sons, Garth (Lauri) Kuemper and Scott (Jacque) Kuemper; four grandchildren, Davin, Easton, Ava and Rhett; brother, Roger (Clara); sisters, Irene Saurer, Alice Nordick, Loreen Faul, Rosemary (Ron) Muggli, Virginia (Robert) Kaese, Gloria (Ernie) Kuehne, and Kara Kuemper; sisters-in-law, Kay Kuemper, Verna Kuemper, Diane Kuemper, and Val Milne; brothers-in-law, Bob (Tina) McConnell, Keith (Betty) McConnell, and Ron (Marg) McConnell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clemens and Antoinnetta Kuemper; parents-in-law, Alexander and Florence McConnell; brothers, Eugene Kuemper, Walter Kuemper, Ronald Kuemper, Dennis Kuemper and Brian Kuemper; sisters, Helen Huls and Angie Dale; brothers-in-law, Bernard Huls, Art Nordick, Ken Faul and Arnold Saurer; and  sisters-in-law, Irene Kuemper and Shirley McConnell.

At Lens request there will be no funeral.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
