Obituary of Elwood Lorne Smith

Elwood Lorne Smith
March 1938 - December 2022
 

It is with deep sadness we mourn the loss of Elwood after seven courageous years with cancer, he fought hard right to the end. Left to cherish Elwood's memory are his wife of 60 years, Gertrude, his kids Gary (Debbie), Gwen (Terry) & Justin.  He also leaves his precious grandchildren Charissa and Andrew, and Erik and Traci(Cory), also great grandchildren Jake, Maddie and Ella.  Elwood loved driving and meeting up with friends for coffee and card games. He also loved to go fishing and hunting.
Elwood worked at Inco Mine for 21 years in Thompson Manitoba, and then settled in Saskatchewan working at Allen Potash Mine for another 20 years as a welder. He always enjoyed his job.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
There will be a private family gathering at a later time.
