Norma Pearl Code

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of mother, sister and friend Norma Pearl Code. Born February 4, 1949 in Estevan, SK to Fred and Gwen Code, she passed away peacefully March 11, 2023 at Sherbrooke Care Home following a valiant fight with lung cancer.

She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Gwen Code, and leaves to mourn her son David (Diane) & grandchild Rebecca, sister Sheila (Ed) Marshall & loved nieces Allison, Angela and nephew Adam, & their families.

Norma grew up in small town SK, daughter to a CNR station agent moving every few years as stations closed. The family moved to Saskatoon in 1962 where she graduated from Walter Murray Collegiate in 1966.

She married Jack Sandbrand in July 1970 and together they shared a single son, David. She worked for many years in the family business “Joe’s Cycle” and wishes to thank Jack for his friendship and support in her final journey.

She had a brief career selling real estate at Royal LePage, but her greatest gift was her art; She was an amazing self-taught artist of people and animals. Norma was kind, giving, and loved being with family & friends; She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sherbrooke Foundation or Prairie Hospice. The family greatly appreciates all those involved in her care.
